I want to see if mine has been changed in any way before I reinstall. Is there a way to tell this without having alot of computer knowledge?

If you're referring to the OEM Restore CD, you can't change the data on it since it not "Writable." You can scratch or otherwise mar the surface and it will be unreadable but that's about the extent of any change you can possibly make.

If instead you are referring to the Hard Drive, then it could have been changed by someone who had the knowledge and proper software to do so.

So, which are you concerned about? The term "Disk" isn't all that specific since we have several types now.

    Thank you :)

I thought that you could change certain things on the OEM disks. I was looking into the Unattended install and slipstreaming and misunderstood.

You're welcome. The disks being used for the purpose you mentioned are CD's that are recordable. Those are not like the OEM CD disk that you have. Pre-recorded software CD's can't be written to by any means. They are make by a stamping press method.

That is not to say you couldn't burn a copy of your OEM disk. Doing so would give you a good backup copy in case your original got damaged. You cannot however, slipstream SP2 onto an OEM cd copy as far as I know.

    Good luck with your Reinstall.
