    Hola, здравствуйте!, hallo, and howdy!! My name is John, and I hail from Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. I am an Offshore Surveyor, working for The Silvetti Group. I work with side-scan sonar, 360 degree scanning sonar, magnetometers, sub-bottom profilers, and other high-tech gear in the Gulf Of Mexico.
    I have been working/playing with computers since the late 80's, but I am still learning new things all the time.

    Hi John and welcome. I was just down in Lafayette at the end of April for four days. Very pretty area, great food, nice people, want to go back and visit again sometime. Hot and muggy tho'. Will have to plan a visit around the hot weather.:eek:
