I would like to allow my house sitter, while logged in as a guest, use my dial up connection to the net while I am on vacation. How do go about it??

Most ISPs allow for a guest account...a separate guest account. It keeps your e-mail safe!

I just tried this on my machine. The LAN connection was already available in the Guest account (I connected from an Admin account).

But after setting up a dialup account, it wouldn't work in the Guest account.

Would a limited account afford too many privileges to your "guest "?

    (How are things in Rutland?).

XP doesn't allow guests to use dialup modems. It's LAN or nothing.

Thanks for your replies. I guess I am going to have to give her access to my own personal account and temporarily move my personal stuff to my ABS backup drive.

I am in Brattleboro, by the way, and it's sunny, cold and very windy here.

You could hide or encrypt your sensitive files, too. Just a thought.
