    Please be more descriptive.

By turn off do you mean they don't work?
Are you talking abut ALL applications like your browser, MS Word etc?

I am working offal ancient I pad now. When I click an icon on the desk top computer the web site will open. On a yellow bar it says Web site not responding. Your site opens to solid white sheet. Windows Live mail. Works O. K.

The old man thanks you all for all your help

Hi cbumpkin. Can you please provide more information about what is going on with your machine? What Internet browser are you using? What happens when you attempt to run a program? Do you get an error message? What yellow bar are you referring to?

When did this issue occur? If you still need assistance with getting the information that we are requesting then please post a screenshot of the issue by following the instructions from here, How to take a screenshot.

Post the screenshot using the Manage Attachments button when you are responding to your thread.

Yes we got your reply but I am asking if you could answer the questions that I stated in my previous post.

You marked your thread as Resolved. Why, did you solve your issue?

I wrote a long reply. The computer was operating fine. had a power failure due to an auto accident during the night. when I opened the screen saver everything seemed normal, but when I tried to open a website, only GOOGLE and WINDOWS LIVE MAIL would work. Your site, Win. BBS, came up a solid white screen the other sites appeared to open but at the bottom of the screen a Yellow bar would appear with " web site not responding" on the bar. it would not scroll with the mouse or scroll direction keys. now to answer your questions. I am using IE for browser, sometimes Google, The reason I marked the problem solved. MY Grand Son IN_law is the computer tech. for a large school system in Birmingham. On the way to Huntsville he stopped by to see his Grand Mother, who is very sick, she told him about the computer. she said he came in the office and hit a few keys and said ok. I was not home therefore I don't know what he did. but it is working well now. I hope this explains everything. If not let me know and I will try again.

I really appreciate you and the rest of the guys on the Forum understanding my age and condition and how you have helped me along the way. wish I could send you a contribution but all our money goes Dr's and hospitals. The only pleasure I get is "talking" to my friends on the computer.

Best regards and may God bless America
