In previous windows versions, the equivalent of the All Programs Menu could be edited. That is you could create a new folder and move other folders into to organize the Menu in a manner more as to how you use the programs.

For example, you could create a Graphics folder and then move all your graphics programs to that folder. I may be missing something, but the only editing I see avaialble in XP Pro is sort by name.

There are a few ways to do this. I make the folder on the desktop and drag to the Start Menu.

I do it through Windows Explorer. Open Explorer, navigate to Documents and Settings\ "Your User Name "\Start Menu\Programs. Right click on the right pane, select New Folder from the pop-up menu and away you go. From here you can drag and drop or cut and paste to your hearts content.

If you want all users to have access to the menu item when they are logged in create the folder in Documents and Settings\All Users\Programs.

I tried following Rods suggestion. I followed the steps and when I got to the "Programs" there was just a few programs, not that long list that appears when I open the "All Progrmas" menu. I want to know how to organize that long list.

    AKteacher2 ...

Here's an illustrated guide to editing the Start menu which I wrote for a friend earlier this year. I hope you find it helpful.

Did you try the "all users" folder? If not, have a look there. They should all be there.
