When i logged on to my computer at the start up screen a warning came up saying it couldnt find my settings or something similar. When i logged on the backround was the Toshiba default backround all my items on the desktop werent there. I thought my hard drive had been wiped, but it was all on the drive, but my computer didnt associate it all with my account. In the programs menu there were some of my programs but not all of them. My documents was empty, but in documents&settings/username/my documents it was all there. that was pretty straightforward to fix as i could set my documents to mirror that folder and i got all my old start menu folders from the same place, but my computer is still working off C:\Documents&Settings\TEMP so anything i now put on my desktop is put into the TEMP folder as opposed to the one in my account folder. The same goes for favourites and start menu folders and my documents essentially. I assume there is more but thats all ive come accross. Does anyone know either what the hell happened or how to tell my computer to go back to using my documents and settings as opposed to the TEMP ones?

Thanks alot. Required alot of messing about owing to denied access and strange errors when deleted old accounts, but eventually worked. Cheers.
