Okay, so I posted a while ago about my comp freezing. That seemed to have stopped (possibly dirt in the fans and stuff).

NOW, in the last week, everytime I start up AIM, my comp freezes, sometimes within 5 seconds. I can Cntrl/Alt/Delete and re-sign on, but it's the most annoying thing ever. Are there any probs with AIM I'm not aware of? Or anything I can check for? :( I'm running Win 98, IE 5.5 and AIM version 4.8

I'm at a loss for ideas...

    Thanks

BAM - not many AOL users on here so you may not get an answer (or an answer other than switch ISPs  ).

I know that AOL has lots of users. Same with McAfee. But the usual advice you will see here is "don't ".

This Cnet Review of the latest AIM version suggests a couple of alternate products you might prefer to use to work with other AOLers.
