(edit note: moved from XP section. - Newt)

Since I installed the Office SP3 last night, Outlook keeps popping up with a warning that "A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this? ":

I figure this is because either Norton AntiVirus or SpamNet is checking my incoming email (which both do), tho I doubt either is looking at my Outlook addresses -- is there any way to tell Outlook to always allow certain programs to look at my emails?

    Thanks!

Try unchecking the Office plug in box in NAV options.

Another possibility is a virus/worm/trojan - one of the mass mailing variety perhaps.

I must apologize -- I failed to note that I was using Office XP, so I both posted this in the wrong place and failed to provide sufficient information. I grovel in apolgy: my bad.

Also, today the copy of Office2K3 I'd ordered (well before this problem arose) arrived, and I installed it, and the problem no longer exists. I don't think this is the only solution for everyone using OutlookXP ... but, knowing M$, it wouldn't surprise me if it is.... Anyway, for me, the issue is moot.

    Sorry again -- and thanks!
