    Hi,
I know the topic of passwords are a touchy subject here. But, please keep reading.
    This started happening today.
Some background. Acronis true image was giving me a hard time. I was getting DCOM errors and it was slowing down my shutdown to about 6 mins. 3 mins just for the selection screen to come up shutdown or restart screen. So, I decided to remove true image. (I just looked at event viewer and I am still getting DCOM errors, I leave that for another topic)

Anyways, now when I boot up the computer I have a choice of profiles. I select mine and everything is fine. I'll switch over to my wifes, everything is good. But when I switch back at the profile screen I select my profile and then a little box will pop up asking for a password. I'll select my wife and same thing it keeps asking for a password. I have to shutdown the comp to be able to get back into the comp. We never have set passwords.

    Win XP sp2

Iam baffled anybody ever seen this and can you help?

    Thanks
    Heath

edit: I ran chkdsk disk is clean. running spyware and antivirus now.

Well, I guess I spoke to soon. I have switched back and forth between profiles bunch of times and it hasn't asked for a password since I posted the question.

    Go figure
