    I hope this isn't considered as double posting, since I made a post in referencing to this in General discussion forum. It's important enough I think to be posted here on it's own merits for all to read.

    Am I reading entirely wrong or what ?

    The way I read it, that thumbnails dumps the the choice squarely in the USERS lap.

    If that is not a Cover Your Backside deal I will eat it.

    And as for myself I LIKE having that choice with ANYTHING

    It seems to be along the same line as WARNING messages that I get about deleting certain files may do damage to the system.

    If I am warned and do it anyway how in Heavens name can I blame Microsoft or anybody else ?

    It is the stuff that gets dumped in without even warning me that I very much dislike.

    Hi BB,

    As you wrote And as for myself I LIKE having that choice with ANYTHING MS is doing exactly what you and I would prefer. Who knows, maybe lots of people would like the toolbar.

    The way I read it, that thumbnails dumps the the choice squarely in the USERS lap. How would you word it or what more would you have MS do?

    Regards - Charles

    Good morning Charles

    I do not see how much better MS could word it.

    From the Symantec page.

    Behavior
    Spyware.ISearch is an Internet Explorer Browser Helper Object and functions as a toolbar. It is a search hijacker and also tracks user activity on a remote server at isearch.com.

    I can only go by what I read and hopefully understand correctly. But from what I read into things I would see ISEARCH as Spyware.

    But if indeed the above from Symantec is true then;

    To the creators of isearch I say;
    " It is none of yours' or anyone elses' business what I do and where I go ON MY COMPUTER."

    And to Microsoft I say;
    " Thank you for giving us the ways and means to help keep such stuff off of our machines. Which in turn helps your OS on MY machine to keep working better. "

    If you note a bit of anger here, you are correct. Because I spent half the day yesterday on a 98SE machine ( with the help of SpyBot, Adaware and AVG ) cleaning out the machine the kids use. But one thing in my favor was that the kids did tell me where they had been. I went to one of the sites and YUP ! there was a download BEHINd MY BACK And SpyBot found it again. I saw it by watching the little green lights on the LAN Switch. I was ( supposedly ) doing nothing but they were for about 30-40 seconds. And on Cable with a good connection A LOT can be downloaded in that time.

    To Adimin.

    If I am in anyway out of line here, please say so. But I think it is time for us users to stand up and fight.

    And between MS and this BBS I think we are doing just that.

    I dont think they have "big enough ones" to go after the big boys.

    I hope they do so they can get spanked and sent home.

    From what I read in Here

    from above
    Once downloaded iSearch also installs 180Search Assistant, another advertising program on your PC. Together, these programs serve to deliver a variety of intrusive advertisements such as numerous popup ads and new browser windows.

    This

    Gets installed along with iSearch.

    Do I read correctly ?
