    Indeed

While I'm here, i wonder if u, or any one else can help me put a system together.
What it is, Ive got £250-£300 to get a good MB + CPU, I'm currently running a athlon 1.4 on an asrock k7vm2. i have no sound card, my graphics card is a geforce fx5600 Ive got 512 2700 ddr, liteon DVD writer dual layer, a card reader that plugs in to my usb header on MB, and have just purchased an asus TV fm card, (which is giving me probs). oh yeh, a 40 gb master and 30 gb slave, and cd rw, not forgetting floppy.
i was going to buy a 17" tft for £149.00 in tescos, but have decided to try and climb the ladder towards a 3.4 gb beast!!!. if i could get away with getting just the board and cpu, as i have every thing else realy. but any help or suggestions but be much apriciated.

Thanks for viewing, and for yore time pete.

I've split your last post to a new thread - change of subject. I'll come back in the morning on this.

THis is a suggestion rather than a recommendation as I use AMD processors & Asus mobos exclusively, but this gets close to your holy grail .....

Motherboard Asus P4P800 - E\Deluxe available from Dabs at £71.55

Couple this with an Intel Pentium 4E running at 3.0 GHzat £121.44. List of compatible CPU's here

I assume your video card is AGP and not PCI Express?

I would add to the above another 512 Mb PC 2700 Ram from http://www.crucial.com/uk/index.asp at £ 44 - run through their memory selector to determine which is compatible. List here

Do check that your PSU is adequate - here
