I am using Adobe Reader 9.3.1 and it works fine for a short time and after opening several files and closing them, it won't open another one and error message says I should close adobe due to a problem. I have windows XP home and IE-8.

I got tired a few years ago, of having my browser freeze when trying to read PDFs online. I started using PDFXChange viewer (they sell a lot of PDF software, but their viewer is free--plus it lets you mark up a pdf without a watermark) and it is quick-loading.

Thier site has a lot of stuff for sale, just get it at download.com
