MYOB (mind your own business) is a standard business package used to record sales and transactions, produce invoices and so on.

The burner is a Hewlett Packard 1900b.

I have backed up this data before (same program, same burner) without any problems at all, but this time it came up with a message indicating I am not the administrator, so how do I reset this?

I just checked and am getting the same message when I try to back up Quick Books, a similar program.

    This is driving me nuts.. . . . . . . .

Reinsalled burner, and updated the driver, but no change.

However the odd thing is, if I save a copy of the file into my documents, I can burn that disk......... Very strange.

Looking forward to any further ideas thou.

Old_Salt_Oz--Are the attributes of the original file and the copy in My Documents different? If so you could change those on the original which might permit direct burning. (Often it is the other way around. Burning a file causes the Read Only attribute to be set automatically, which then prevents changes to the burnt version.)

I'm not trying to overwrite the data, just drop onto a new **** for backup. I managed to save a zipped copy to my documents folder and burnt it ok.

However I would like to be able to burn from the program file, it used to work, but it would seem "something" has changed, but what?
