I have set up IIS (Internet Information Server) on my PC in Windows 7 which creates a folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot. I want to save a file Helloworld.html to get started on my new web server. However, when saving I get :

"You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission "

However,in Control Panel, User Account, is shows Andy(who I logged in as with my password) and underneath Andy it says Administrator.

I've tried the properties of the wwwroot folder and tried unchecking the Read-only box. IT then says :

"You will need to provide administrator permission to change these attributes "

I thought I was Administrator. I had exactly the same problem on my old PC with Vista. Can anyone help?

Orb\search programs and files(type in) lusrmgr.msc\users\Admin. You can Enable and Disable Adminstrator.
