Our admin guy has totally locked down our systems and now no one can install any new programmes, fonts, etc. I can no longer save files to my C drive either. I do happen to know the password (unless he's changed it in the last week) and have installed lots of things without his knowledge. However, I cannot find the place to allow my profile access to the C drive. Can anyone enlighten me?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jo

My guess is that your admin put some policy in place and to undo it you'd need admin rights.

That said, I don't know if we can help you with this or not anyway. It may be a violation of the boards rules to do so.
Though getting around admin rules isn't specifically mentioned here, it could be considered to be "anything of the like ". Don't get me wrong here. This isn't intended to be a lecture or anything like that. I just don't know if we're allowed to help with this and am pointing out the reason why. I'll see if I can get an answer to this.
