A few files and/or shortcuts will not allow me to change or delete them because of an administrative conflict. As I am the only person who ever used this computer, and am the only person with a login profile, I am confused why, sometimes, I am not recognized as the administrator. It is frustrating for a control person not to have control.

Windows 7 can be the tool of the devil when it comes to access rights. And it stinks to high heaven to not have control of your own pc when you're the Admin. /end of rant

But what exactly do you mean when you say-> "because of an administrative conflict "

I must paraphrase: There is a notice which informs me that I cannot delete the file or shortcut because I do not have administrate privilege.

Using the universal fix-it solution, restarting, I was allowed to delete the shortcuts. I certainly have no clue, unless something else is causing the problem.

If rebooting the computer doesn't allow you to delete the files then 9 times out of 10 taking ownership of the files will let you delete them unless you are trying to modify system files.

So I guess this issue has been resolved?
