I downloaded a security program - installed it
NOW I lost Administrator rights in IE7.
This computer was setup with blank password - now the program (which I deleted) will not let me have admin rights to IE. Anyone know where I can redownload this program? The program was named (None Administrator) or something like that.
CANNOT USE SYS RESTORE the comp will not allow me to use it to the point of before installation.
    Thanks PeteC

Your best bet is to use System Restore to a point before you loaded the security program.

Bud Martin--Are you running Norton AV 2006 or 2007? It has a setting that could prevent System Restore points from working. (I assume you have the Restore Points but cannot get them to work.)
In the NAV Control Panel, click Options|NAV|Miscellaneous in the left panel and uncheck the box "Turn Protection on for my Symantec product ". Click OK and exit. Now try running System Restore again.

    Bud

Please post your responses in a new post rather than editing an old one - we are likely to miss out on your reply :)

Think hard as to the program you installed - it could be the key and save you a lot of hard work.
