For some reason, my admnistration account icon doesn't show up upon startup. I can search my drive from other accounts and find the files and documents for this account, but I cannot find how to get these user settings back up. Any help?

If it makes any difference, just before this happened, I was following a Windows help tutorial on re-installing my USB drivers (separate problem). After uninstalling all of the USB drivers, I the tutorial indicated that I need to restart the computer. Upon restarting, the administrator account vanished.

admin isn't supposed to be on the start menu unless u've forced it via some method like safe mode boot on xp home or tweakui setup. eg - it's not supposed to be there normally.

When I took it to get worked on, they re-installed XP, and the existing accounts were purged. The only one they had was the administrator account. I could have started another one then, but I didn't think anything about it and started using the account called administrator.

I don't mind starting another account, and already have, but my biggest problem is that I have already spent several hours organizing music in the other account. This sounds petty, but my profession is songwriting, and I need all of my catalogs to be organized for professional purposes. If I can't figure out how to transfer all of the existing music files into this new account with all of the info, I'll have to invest another 6 or 7 hours in organizing. I use itunes.

    Thanks.

Press Ctrl Alt Del twice. This would bring up the login screen where you can type in the name & password. Type user name as Administrator and give the password. You can then login as Administrator.
