Hello, sent my laptop out to be cleaned... got It back and when I went on....no address bar In the bottom of the taskbar! I looked all through WBBS....no one had this problem.....when I right click on the taskbar....slide over to toolbars, all that Is listed Is:windows media player, Links, language bar, Itunes, desk top, and quick launch! I read every posting pertaining to "Address Bar," but could find nothing for this....even downloaded the "repair tool" and nothing. Please help....It's a handy feature not haveing to open the Internet to type where you want to go... and ;)I sure hope this Is the right place to post...got It wrong lately.
    Thanks, Snookie28

Windows Vista has an option to put an Address Bar in the taskbar.

Rt click the Taskbar > select Properties > click Toolbars tab > put a check next to Address bar.

What I'm finding after some research is that the Address bar option for the Taskbar in XP is removed by SP3. You can read more about it, and why, on this Microsoft forum.

If you're running XP and the shop you took the computer to installed SP3, that would explain the missing Address bar.

Interesting that the Address bar option is available in Vista, though (I just checked).

Thank you so much for all of that Info....still going through It. No one should do up grades If you don't ask:mad:I looked Into my add/remove file and the SP3 Is there!! Soooooooo, now I know what happened to my address bar....I am still reading the long list of complaints from people....I am hoping there Is an answer In there....you get so used to having that feature. IF I un-Install SP3 and put back SP2....would that do IT? SP2 would be In Windows updates?
Thanks again.....I was going crazy looking everywhere I knew.
