Recently, the space in the address bar alloted for URL has lengthened to almost the entire width of the Internet Explorer browser, so I have to click to display the links. Windows Help says can resize by drag and drop, but this doesn't work. Internet Explorer 6.0 Windows 98 Second Edition. How can I compress the space to it's former length?

I found the answer ( unlock the Taskbar by right click on the Taskbar, then drag the Links to the left ) in reviewing previous posts as suggested. I think that Windows Help should spell this out more completely.

I can resize addressbar when I combine two of the toolbars. This allows the addressbar to be sized.

I don't know if this is Normal but it works for me.

    Opps,

I see you found your fix. I forgot that the toolbars would have to be unlocked. I never have bothered to lock them in the first place. That's why I could drag the addressbar.

Glad your problem is behind you and thanks for being kind enough to update your post with the outcome.
