    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is a simply way to add an entire music collection to a single playlist in Windows Media Player V9 (latest version).

It can be done by pressing the carriage return key on each of the artists in turn, but I have a large collection and sooner or later I will miss one or add one twice doing it this way.

    Regards FarmerJo

I use WinAmp and MMJB, so I may be way off, here, but have you tried Control +a (select all)? Then, by holding down the control key, you should be able to "unhighlight" (is that a word??) individual entries.

From the "Media Library" view, click on "All Music" category tab (left side). This will load "ALL' your music in the view detail panel (right side). Click on the 1st song on top... it will play every song contained in your media library. I've just tried it on mine, played a number of consecutive songs in the list. Could not listen to the entire list... over 1300 songs with 94 plus hours of music... a little much for one sitting. :D
If you want to "sort" to your preferences.... click on 1st song and do a Ctrl A -- or -- go to bottom of list, hold down "shift key" and left click, release. Now "right click" and choose "Add to Playlist. Direct to your preferred playlist/name. If you have a large library, you may want to this in smaller chunks. Now sort to your hearts content.
