My in-laws computer (Compaq Presario 7360) runs W98SE and was blessed with only 56k of RAM. I would like to bring it up to 256k but am not sure what kind of RAM to use. How do I go about this task. I am more than willing to open the case up
and poke around. Is there Compaq proprietary BS involved here?

    Thanks,

    Larry

    Hi LarryB,
    Go here http://www.crucial.com
they have a system that allows you to input the make and model of your computer and sends you to a page with all their memory modules that will work.

    Thanks Tin, great site!

I am surprised that a Compaq mobo will accept either SD-RAM or PC-100. I always thought that module specs were just one thing or another. Live and learn.
