This is entension from my other thread. But, I haev a hard drive from another CPU. 20GB. If I wanted to add RAM (I also have the RAM card that was with the Hard Drive) to the WIN95 (that I am attempting to upgrade to WIN98SE) will it work or would the HD adn RAM card be too much for the old system.

Also, would I need a CD or whatever to load the HD and RAM card?

On this computer with Win95, and you say it is an old one, the BIOS may not recognize the full size of the 20 gb drive, it may only see 8 gb, if that much. Unless a drive overlay is installed onto the drive.

This is only a guess, but I think the memory card you are referring to is a 72 pin EDO SIMM memory module, and these must be installed in pairs, except for the odd 486 66 mhz compaqs that I have seen that have only 3 slots for NON-EDO 72 pin SIMMS. You do not need a CD to install RAM.
To get a more definitive answer, the make and model of the computer should be posted.
