Is it possible to install my old hard drive (win98), to a new computer setup with XP? So I can use my old software programs. I hear the old software programs won't work on XP! I thought I could like daisy chain the win98 hard drive into the new system, and boot up to it at any time?

You'll need a third party boot manager since it's two drives and XP was there first. Am sure someone will come along and give a few suggestions.

You could just mount it, and use BIOS to select the boot drive.
Alternatively, you could attempt a 3rd party boot manager, but it may not work, depending on if the system will allow two "active" primary partitions. Some BIOS' will not.
Third option is to mount it, and then run a repair of XP. This will detect the other OS, and set up the multi-boot menu for you.
