Adding old floppy to new "puter

    Hello again! I got a new "puter, but did not come w/ a floppy drive. Can I take 1 out of 1 of my old ones and stick it in,Any problems,How? :cool: Thanx Autoholic

    You should be able to do that. A floppy drive is a floppy drive is a .......... Go for it. :) ;)

    Yeah, it's cold enough for me. The older I get the more I understand why the retired people head south when the winter comes. I'm leaning more and more on the side of becoming a snowbird myself when the time comes. :) On the bright side of things though, I'm an ice fisherman and it's making ice now! I'll probably be giving it a try tomorrow. I'd have been out earlier but don't really care to go for a swim this time of year so it had to wait. ;) :)

    Just yesterday I put together a new system for a daughter for xmas gift. A 2.6 celleron, 1 GB ram barebones system. I used a floppy drive from a 1995 computer! Works like a charm.

    Thanx again folks! Floppy does its job,4 now. Now 4 the next 'puter, Cannot get the 6disk setup 2 work:confused: I get error codes, where should I post this 4 best results? Zander, I also do some ice drinkin, sorry, Ice fishin':D gonna punch holes sat.
