I have a CPU that is pretty old and needs to be updated but is backup to my regular used CPU. I don't really want to put the money out. I want to know if I can salvage the HD from this unit and install it in my main CPU. The specifics are this:
The HD (SATA) is from a CPU running Windows XP 32bit. I want to retrieve the data from it in a CPU running Windows 7 64bit, specifically the data from Itunes. I am running the same version Itunes on both CPU's.
If not, what other options do I have to salvage data?

A Windows 7 64-bit machine is able to copy the files from a hard drive that was running in a Windows XP 32-bit machine with absolutely no problem whatsoever.
