    Is it me??

We had exchange 2000 server running and we could add contacts to the global address book through the outlook client. We now have migated to exchange 2003 and the facility is no longer available - message "you cannot create entries for this Address book" prevents adding entry.

Is tis a new "feature" of 2003??

    tia

Has to do with the way they have security set up.

Not sure how your company does things but we add any new NT user id that will have email to the GAL but nothing else (except some global groups where all membership is from valid accounts).

Personal contacts are added to the user's Contacts (or Outlook Address Book if you use that in preference to Contacts) rather than to the main GAL listing.
