    Having a brane phart here. Want to password-protect a desktop using XP-SP3 and can't for the life of me remember how to do it.

    Dumb, I know, but...

    Fray....,

    Start, Control Panel, User Accounts should get you to the point where you can add a password to the specific account/s you wish.

    Do you want to protect it against your child or your grandma ? windows xp files are never secure. I'm not a windows 7 fan nor vista, but i think that they have better protection, at least you can't access windows 7 protected files from other windows operating system on the same computer.
