I added Win2K SP4 (slipstreamed) to the Win98 SE installed on C. (Win2K is now on D:). The install went very well, but Win2K cannot see my serial trackball (Win98 is fine). I can get around some with key commands, but some moves are beyond me. I'd be obliged for suggestions to get my mouse operative.

    I could be wrong but,
I would think you'd need to install the mouse drivers on W2K. Don't think W2K is Plug and Pray.

    no help

That well may be (though Win 2K searched for and found devices) Trouble is, I can't move around the screens in certain critical ways without a mouse. <Enter>, <Tab>, the arrow keys and a couple of others don't get you even to the "Troubleshoot hardware" screen.

You can do at least 99% of the movements from the keyboard - and maybe more.

Read and Read more with a little additional 'Help' here.

If you still have things you can't figure how to do from the kbd, post back with specific issues.

Thanks, Newt. I've looked for a site(s) like that for a long time, but oddly enough a Google search will get you a host of sites dealing with security and spyware, but not those you cite. As the tech editor for the Wall Street Journal asked last week after an article on scumware on PCs: "Why does everything have to be so hard? "
