I'm hesitant to download and install this extension to firefox 0.9.3 since I can't determine whether it has been updated for the latest version. Does anyone know this?

Exactly how does it work? I found the explanation a bit hazy. Thanks.

    James,

I see that you have your answer on another Forum.

True, but I was looking for as many answers as I could get. Then I thought I would sift through them. The problem, Ramona, is that I don't have the same "data base" (my brain) as many others. So when some give an answer, their answer is often totally unintelligible to me, whereas hearing an answer from another (simply put in layman's terms) suddenly turns on the lights. That's why I ask the same questions here and elsewhere. I understand that we can't ask the same questions in different folders here (I was chastised for that .. and rightly so). :(

    James,

You can simply block images from certain websites by the Manage Image Permission settings under the preferences.

OR, just context click on the image (ads), and select Block images from that website.

Together with pop-up blocker, they work very well for me, but only for images. (I don't block any images, just pop-up blockers)

As for the annoying Flash blocking, I have no idea.

I hope my answer would not confuse you, but to give you an alternative option - you don't need ad-blocker.
