I'm not sure whether this is the right section or not, so feel free to move it if it isn't

Every time I sign onto AOL I receive a small popup message asking whether or not I would like Active X to run on my computer. It also happens when I run Internet Explorer 6. I have scanned for spyware and viruses with Avast, Spybot and Ad-aware and got nowt. Any ideas?

    Im running Xp Home SP2.

    Thanks

    Alex

    Hello Alex,

AOL wants to run ActiveX on your system - probably in order to run moving graphics.

You can either allow/deny it each time (compare alowing it with not allowing it - what's the difference), or if you get tired of that, put AOL into the internet trusted zone. That will allow AOL to run ActiveX w/o intervention.

    Regards - Charles
