I don't know if this is internet related or operating system but since it pertains to active-X controls I may have the right forum.

Here is my problem. When the computer boots to the desktop a message appears, ie. an active x-control may be unsafe and do you wish to accept and proceed. This is not word for word but very close. When I click yes or no, the icons then appear, either
    desktop or folder.

I have tried to get rid of this message by reinstalling IE-5.5, going into the registry, changing security settings in IE but to no avail.

Any suggestions for a fix will be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,
    Henry
