Having difficulty with Windows 7 64Bit backup facility and after being informed that Acronis True Image Home 2012 was far superior to Windows, I purchased the software on line and also ordered the CD version. Since installing Acronis TIH, my computer went pear shape, to such an extent that it required computer to be returned to its factory settings (11 hour slug).
How stupid can one be, yes I installed Icronis TIH again and yes the sorry eposode was repeated. ITIH caption stated that on backup finalising computer would automatically shut down, in a way it did "freeze" with only solution a force close down of the computer. Acronis should show a warning, that software is suitable to only people with vast knowledge of computers, to read the book of 297 page is a mamoth task in itself, never mind understanding all the content. One backup, showed expected time to complete, started from 8 minutes to 1 year 2 months, God only knows final time would be. Cancel of this backup produced a "freeze ". I am left finally with no backup facilities, as Windows continues to refuse to complete a backup. ITIH book does not mention how the software can be uninstalled I would certainly advise other people who like myself has limited computer experience, before buying ITIH check out before buying.

Acronis is a fine program which works fine if your computer is ok. It's clear that yours is not.

Acronis doesn't require any advanced knowledge.
