Acer TravelMate 4200 Screen Crash

    I have an Acer TravelMate 4200 and every time I start the computer it runs fine then the screen crashes and has like the scratchy distorted horizontal lines. Cananyone help me with the problem and how to fix it please A.S.A.P.

    Hi

    It worked for me once to run the Disk error checking in Windows .
    You can find it in the menu with disk defragmentation and system recovery.
    (I've got the Dutch version so i dunno exactly how the menu's called ^^)

    If possible connect an external monitor to the Acer and test. If there are no screen issues on the external monitor then the problem lies with the Acer screen - either the screen itself or the connections to it.

    OTOH if the issue remains the fault lies with the Acer graphics - try updating/reinstalling the driver. If this has no effect there may be a motherboard problem.
