    Hi,

A nice person spilled coffee over our reps laptop. It was spilt over the bottom right of the screen and top right of the keyboard area and over the power lead! It appears to be dead. The power pack is still functioning, but there is nothing when you press the power button, Does anybody know of any simple checks I can do? Or, is it better to open it up and have a look? Are there any fuses on the mother board that might have popped?

Was the pc immediatly shut down and a huge amount of effort was put into drying it out before using it again?

Or did they just leave it running till it fried everything?

Smarts-generated pain/frustration make for the best black humor.

Also, very informative post should this happen to anyone.

From what I can gather, they shook as much out as possible, dried what they could and carried on using it.
