I have an Alpha 4 database that has alot of information over the past several years. I want to import the Alpha 4 db into Access 2000. I would like to start using Access.

Is this possible to do and if so how. I really don't want to input the info again. Way to much stuff.

    Please help me.
    Thanks

I have never used Alpha 4 (or even heard of it), but you should be able to bring the data into Access if Alpha will allow you to export the data. If you can export the tables as .txt , .xls, .dbf, lotus, etc. you can get them into Access.

You should be able to just open the Alpha 4 .dbf file with Access.

It's been a while since I used either program but I seem to remember being able to do that. Of course any form you may have created will be useless but all of your tables should be there.

Create a new empty DB - Or you can add the data to an old one. Choose Tables > New > import table. Work your way through the prompts and you *should* be set. But things rarely work smoothly the first time. Kevin is right about the forms. You will most likely only be able to import your tables. Forms and Querries will have to be recreated.
