Access is denied !!!

Before this Installation of WinXP, i set a deny permission for users to a Folder "document" located to LocalDisk D:, for my user i set a full permission, but after I format my LocalDisk c: and i install a WinXP after i marge a LocalDisk D: to LocalDisk C:, but i can't access these folder "document ", when i want to set a premission for these folder i receive an error message "You do not have permission to view or edit the current permission settings for document, but you can take ownership or change auditing settings ".

Please help me to access these folder!!
