Hi. I'm currently trying to slipstream xp service pack 2 using the directions from this exellent article.

    http://www.helpwithwindows.com/WindowsXP/winxp-sp2-bootcd.html

However, I keep getting "Access is denied" in my command prompt. Command prompts are still a mystery to me so I may be typing something wrong here.

    This is what I'm doing.

Logged in as administrator in xp home.
Copied file contents of XP Home (retail disc) to XP-CD folder on C drive
Downloaded WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe to XP-SP2 folder on C drive
Opened command prompt and typed CD\ to get to root directory C:\>
    Typed XP-SP2>WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU /intergate:C:\>XP-CD
Hit enter and keep getting Access is Denied. followed by C:\

Like I said, I must be getting the path wrong or something, or is it that I need to turn some sort of permission setting on?

Anyway, I really appreciate the help.

    best,
    Ron

Try this, rename the SP2 executable into something simpler to type in, like "sp2.exe ", it will work. I mention this because you seem to be making a misspelling of the word "integrate ". This would change the command to start streamlining to this:
    Code:
    sp2 /integrate:C:\XP-CD
You'll also notice there is not a > in the actual command, only at the beginning of the command prompt line.
