Get in your time machine for this one...

I have an Access 2000 SP3 database that pulls data from an Oracle 10g R2 database via ODBC and produces a report. I tried using the Office Links to "Analyze It with MS Excel" to export it into a spreadsheet but the operation fails with the message: "database name can't start the OLE server."

The same thing occurs when I used File Export. I also tried doing a repair installation to correct the problem, but the only difference that made is that it now allows me to specify the name and location of the target file before the message is issued.

I've been away from any "deep" involvement with Access for a few years due to several other projects, so I've become fairly "rusty." Any ideas as to how I can resolve this?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    From a private message:

No, it still is an issue. I'm wondering if reinstalling, or doing a "repair" install, might take care of the problem. If they'd stop piling more work on me for a short time, I could dedicate time to it and see if it works. I need for this export option to be available since it is quite useful.

    Thanks for checking,
