Resolved Access denied opening folder

On a freshly installed Win 7 Pro system I am unable to open the Documents and Settings folder. Even when logged in as Administrator. I have a dual boot system and do not have that problem in XP Pro. What do I have to do to get access ?

Documents & Settings is not a folder it is a Junction Point - you cannot open it .....

The "My Documents and Settings" is not a folder used by Windows 7. It is what is called a junction point. If you note, the folder itself is shaded out with a shortcut overlay. If you have "Hide protected operating system files" unchecked, then you will see these junction points. It is intended that users have no access to these junction points.

Thank you for your reply... Once I understood that, I was able to access the data and make everything work.
