When editing and saving photos with Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10, and then subsequently trying to copy the saved files across a local network, I get an error "Cannot copy... Access is denied... Make sure... the file is not in use ".

Through trial and error, I've narrowed the problem down to the commands "Save As ", and "Save a Copy As ". Files created using these commands appear to keep the files locked out even after the application is closed or Windows is rebooted.

Workaround: If you need to save a copy of the file under a new name, finish your work on the new file with a "Save As ", followed by a "Save ", which will save it again under the new name, but release any locks on the file. (You'll have to make edits to your photo after the first "Save As ", otherwise the "Save" will be grayed-out.)

The Access is denied message may imply that you need to Take Ownership of the files and folders before transferring them across the network.
