    Hi satimis. Windows 7 already includes Windows Installer 4.5 and .Net Framework 3.5 SP1. Those items are integrated into Windows 7 already.

    Here is the download link of these items,

    Windows Installer 4.5.

    .Net Framework 4.

    .Net Framework 4 updates .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 in Windows 7.

    Hi folks,

    Lot of thanks for your advice.

    I'm testing MyDLP on Win7 download "MyDLP Windows Endpoint - x86 Version:0.5" on;
    http://www.mydlp.org/downloads/viewcategory/5

    Win7 (32bit) is running as VM on the virtual machine;

    Host - Ubuntu 1010 desktop 64bit
    Virtualizer - Oracle VirtualBox
    VM (guest) - Win7 32bit

    After extracting the zip file there are 4 software;
    mydlp-endpoint-0.8.0 (Application)
    mydlp-endpoint-0.8.0 (Configuration settings)
    mydlp-endpoint-0.8.0 (Windows Installer Package)
    Windowsinstaller-KB893803-v2-x86

    I have the first 3 software installed without complaint. On installing "Windowsinstaller-KB893803-v2-x86" it complains "Not enough storage is available to process this command ". There are plenty of space on the VM at least 30G not used.

    Then according to following thread;
    http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/34905-windows-installer-not-working-msi-installations-3.html

    I have been trying for 2 days without a breakthrough. I couldn't discover any permission problem.

    I also found similar threads having this problem;
    http://winhlp.com/node/40
    http://www.techsupportforum.com/for...available-to-process-this-command-401249.html
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...ess-this/9624b57d-ea4c-41fa-aae0-b52e99b69fab
    etc.

    I re-read the document on MyDLP website. According to "MyDLP Endpoint Installation Howto "
    http://www.mydlp.org/installation/mydlp-endpoint-installation-howto

    Prerequisites softwares are;

    1.Windows Installer 3.1
    2..NET Framework 2.0 SP2

    Therefore I started wondering whether they have been already installed on Win7.

    That is the complete story.

    The wonderful world of "Open Source" software...

    Of course Windowsinstaller-KB893803-v2-x86 doesn't install on Windows 7, it isn't compatible. It is also illegal to distribute Microsoft patches AFAIK.

    There is no reason to install KB893803.

    They list the software is compatible with Windows 7, so I suggest you post in their forum.
