I have to go through a search engine whenever i am online. when i type something in the address bar, it sends me to a page (some crappy search engine) every time. Anyone know what this is, and how to get rid of it?

    Thanks,
    Jason

Not clear why you "have to go through a search engine whenever i am online ". Don't active links, Favorites or just entering a URL in the Address bar work.
My initial reaction is that your search engine has been hijacked. AdAware and SpybotS&D may find the cause and you should run one or the other. It cannot hurt.
    AdAware

    SpybotS&D
    http://www.safer-networking.org/
In both cases be sure to use the latest reference files.
But more specific to search page hijackers is to scan with HiJackThis

Look at the R1 entries. Here is a tutorial on HJT
