I continually switch between Firefox and Thunderbird, and it is becoming a bit tedious to pull up the Windows taskbar to make the switch every time. I keep the Windows taskbar hidden, and most times in Firefox I can't access it directly by dropping the cursor down to the screen bottom.

So, how's about a Firefox menubar icon to go directly to Thunderbird, and likewise in Thunderbird, to go to Firefox. I suppose it could be done as an add-on.

Why not use a keyboard with buttons to enable the web or mail? My Genius keyboard has www/mail/explorer as 3 buttons on top right panel. It has a Media control set in the top middle and 11 further buttons to the left which I rarely use including a page scroll wheel. Neil.

If you unhide the taskbar does the problem go away?

There are already Firefox add-ons/extensions that can launch Thunderbird.

In actual fact my Logitech KB does have 2 buttons I had programmed to flip between FF and TB. I just forgot about them!!!
However I noticed that the button to go to Tbird will flip, but the FF button opens a new window, defeating the purpose. I'll have to check that out....

Yes, once the taskbar is visible, I can switch easily.

I looked for them, found nothing. Maybe you could tell me what their names are.

Yes, those buttons work well for me. I can open both FF and TB at the touch of a button - as the saying goes. :D
