Can I ask a stupid question? What is the deference between FAT 32 and NTFS file system?  When I installed XP home on my PC I used NTFS, was this correct choice?

    Thank you, for your time:)

    Hello Tom Cat!

This link, http://www.ntfs.com/ , might provide some answers to Your first question.

The second question has been asked many times on this board, by among others myself. There´s not a clean cut Yes or No answer but if You do a search for FAT 32 and NTFS on this board You´ll probably find more opinions than You need ...... ;)

    Regards,
    Christer

    Edited:

You must search for FAT32 and not FAT 32 . The search engine doesn´t accept words with fewer letters than three ......

To add to Chrsiter's link, TechTV has an excellent explanation as well.
