A sniffy reiew of Firefox 1

    Wow! That was a fairly nasty review. Indeed, he seemed to forget extensions and themes and I'm still uncertain how he can make the claim that the security level of FF is not any greater than IE's.

    What I do fear (and expect) is the arrival of the long-awaited Longhorn system with its IE7. I would imagine that most will gladly opt for this new Windows system since XP will be somewhat long in the tooth by then. Of course, once the new OS is installed, it's only natural that the user will opt to use the new browser. And there will go FF's future... down the proverbial drain. Because of the inter-connectedness of the OS with the IE browser, I cannot see FF ever reclaiming much more than 10% of users.

    I have not heard anything about any IE7, in conjunction with Longhorn.

    An excellent review of Firefox was reported here, especially with emphasis on the extentions.
