Twice this week I have received emails from unknown sources saying something I emailed (to someone I don't even know?) had a virus in it. Is this an attempt to get me to respond and then....? If I had a virus, which Norton says I do not, I would gladly send it to them.

That type of thing has been happening alot lately, but it never hurts to do an online scan to be sure. :)

Most likely they were sent an infected post where your name was spoofed as the To: address. Just means that someone who has your email address in their system is infected or that your email address was harvested from some place and used.

My usual response to those folks is to send a note that says 'You are an idiot' and then block their address so I never see further stuff from them.
