I just installed a new second HD and gave it partitions of G,H,I, and J. All seems
well. I let windowsXP do the formatting and partitioning.

I noticed a new folder in the windows folder called "Provisioning" with a
sub-folder of "Schemas" containing several (scripts) files as example:
    baseeapconnectionpropertiesv1.xdr
    baseeapuserpropertiesv1.xdr
    branding.xdr
    eapconnectionpropertiesv1.xdr
    flaskconfig.xdr

Other files are there, all ending in .xdr. Since i'm not familar with this type of
file, i was wondering if it has anything to do with the 2nd HD?

    thank you,
    savagcl

    Thanks PeteC.

I was wondering because when i tried to defrag partitions on the new HD,
the defrag program would see the "G" partition start to defrag it. After a few
seconds would give me a msg about file is to large to defrag then quit.
After that, none of the new HD partitions would even show up in the defrag
program and none of the links (to a desktop icon) would work.

I did an Acronis restore disk image and it would be ok to defrag.
I guess i remove a file somewhere that the defrag needed.

    thanks,
    savagcl
