My old roomate installed windows 2000 SP4 while running windows XP SP1 ...

I would ask him how to do it, but he's in USMC Basic Training. So, I was hoping someone could help me out.

For some reason, my disc isn't booting, and it IS a bootable Windows 2k disc. I can boot from cd with XP, or even Linux, but this disc doesn't boot. I don't mind it, since I know that you can install from windows xp, I just don't know how. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can go about doing it?

Any help would be madly appreciated, thanks all!

I assume you want to install win2k on a separate partition. If so, you can install it from anothet os or from a win98 boot floppy. Either way, from the command prompt cd to cdrom drive & run /I386/WINNT.EXE
