    I am looking to learn more about computers and the problems my wife and I are having with them. We have had our laptops for a year now with windows vista and the over all performance is pretty good. i have noticed some problems with our computers and hope to resolve them here.

    I think that I understand computers pretty well, but the idea of reformatting nauseates me. I made a mistake of trying to get SP3 for my prefectly well working XP-SP2. The computer has never been the same, after eight attempts, and eight failures to load the entire SP3. And, going back to SP2 has been only partially successful. But, I have no intention of even trying Vista.
